“Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.” Mother Theresa
Today I was reflecting upon all the hurt people in our precious world. People who are scared, sad, mad, depressed, anxious, insecure, overwhelmed, out of control, stressed, and feeling small. Individuals who sometimes vomit these emotions on people they know, and sometimes on strangers. We can blame someone else for how we feel. There can be a lack of empathy and compassion for others. None of this feels good. An article in the BBC “How Feeling Bad Changes the Brain” states But it turns out that our emotional state has an effect on how much empathy we feel. Our emotions literally change the way our brain responds to others, even when they are in pain. In particular, it is when we feel bad that it can have a consequence on our social world.” This article shares a finding from research which states “Negative emotions can suppress our brain capacity to be sensitive to others’ pain.”
“Sending love to everyone who’s trying their best to heal from things they don’t discuss.” Steve Maraboli
We all feel negative emotions. All of us. I am know for being a positive person because I am positive. Trust me this positive person feels negative, difficult, crappy emotions. However what people sometimes fail to recognize is that there are actions we can take to work through the negative to get to the positive. Yep we do have control of what we do with our feelings, our emotions. Our brain’s wonderful neuroplasticity can help us to shape healthier ways to process and cope with the negative stuff. You do have power and control in your life. You do. An article from Medium.com (which I am attaching) by Ayodejai Awosika titled “How to Turn Negative Emotions Into Positive Results” shares we can become our own emotional Judo Master. Ayodejai states “Be an emotional Judo master. Take that negative energy and direct it somewhere useful. A lot of my biggest inspiration comes from negative emotions used the right way.”
“My friends love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic . And we’ll change the world.” Jack Layton
Remarkable person if you are struggling emotionally honor yourself. Life is tough. You have the right to your feelings. Know if you are struggling there are actions you can take to work through the negative and feel more positive about you. You are so worthy and deserving. And if no one has told you that love you today know I love you and always will.
All my love💜
