Merriam-Webster defines miracle as an extraordinary event and manifesting divine intervention in human affairs, an extremely outstanding or unusual event, thing, or accomplishment. Seems to be everyday, everywhere, there are miracles happening all around us. Do we realize that?
It seems like a GREAT day to look at MIRACLES🎉 There is a part from the movie Bruce Almighty that goes:
“A single mom who’s working two jobs and still finds time to take her kid to soccer practice, that’s a miracle.
A teenager who says no to drugs and yes to an education, that’s a miracle.
People want me to do eveything for them.
But what they don’t realize is they have the power.
You wanna see a miracle, son?
Be the miracle.”
Miracles are very special, precious, treasured events. There have been events, usually of a larger scale, where most of us wondered how did that happen🧐
Chelsey Sullenberger III “Sully” the pilot who landed an airplane on the Hudson River and everyone got out alive, MIRACLE.
Abdul Aziz who stopped the Christchurch shooter with a CREDIT CARD machine. MIRACLE.
What about the person who says hello with a smile to a stranger who is feeling really down and gives the stranger hope for better days? MIRACLE.
Or the bus driver who lets a person who is homeless ride their bus for free in the freezing cold? MIRACLE.
All of these people are people. Everyday ordinary, regular people. Just doing their jobs, living their lives, being kind and compassionate to others people,
Seems to be there are miracles of all proportions happening around us. Magical moments of good and light, love and joy everywhere. Perhaps is it our expectations of what a miracle is? Do we feel that miracles can only be superhuman events that impact a lot of people? Are we a miracle?
A miracle is a miracle.
What about you and your life? What if you looked more at moments of kindness and good in your life with more gratitude and wonderment. Did a miracle just happen? We have all have moments where the timing of something occurred in a significant way it made us wonder how did that happen.
What if you looked at yourself as a miracle. As a extraordinary accomplishment?
Little kids are really good with this. They have a sense of wonder and joy about so much. They excited about the possibility and potential of the world around us and the people that surround them. Children get excited EVERYDAY when a parent comes home from work. Children get excited when snow falls, flowers bloom, foods they eat, and so much more. Kids get excited when they learn to tie their shoes, ride a bike, read a book. They celebrate their accomplishments.
According to Albert Einstein (a really smart guy) “our whole life is a miracle”.
This is my challenge to you and it is a really good challenge⭐️ Beginning today begin to see yourself as a miracle. It’s probably going to feel weird and wrong. Look at yourself for all of the potential and possibility you bring to the world as a MIRACLE. Be open to the events and interactions that occur in your life as miracles too!
Jon Bon Jovi said “miracles happen everyday, change your perception of what a miracle is and you will see them all around you”.
You matter! The miracle that is you with all your distinctive, amazing, smart, beautiful, giving human being parts is so needed in the world. Thank you for all you do to make this world a better place❤️
